  • Wash the curtains and switch them out for new, clean ones.

  • Vacuum and mop the entire room, including less visible areas like underneath the bed, dresser, cabinet, and more.
  • Wash the curtains and replace them with clean ones.
  • Vacuum and wash the carpet.

3. Bathroom

  • With floor cleaner and water, scrub the floor to remove dirt, dust, and grime.
  • Clean common bathroom surfaces like the sink and its drainage hole and overflow hole, toilet bowl, shower racks, and the bidet.
  • Wipe the mirror, sliding door, and walls of the bathing area clean.

4. Kitchen

  • Empty the contents of the fridge and freezer and wipe the shelves with a clean cloth.
  • Check the expiry or best-before date of your food and ingredients; if they’ve gone bad or expired, dispose of them.
  • Wipe the countertops, hood, hob, small kitchen appliances, and cabinets.
  • Give the kitchen sink a good scrub, and don’t forget the drainage hole.

5. Around The House

  • Clean the fan, windows, and air-cond filters.
  • Vacuum and mop the floor, especially underneath bulky items and hidden areas.
  • Ensure the power points and sockets are working.
  • Give your house a fresh coat of paint, or rearrange the furniture to breathe new life into your home.

6. Outside The House

  • Clean the porch and area outside your house – the balcony, yard, garden, and the space right outside your gate.
  • If you have outdoor furniture or items, ensure they are still in good condition after exposure to harsh weather.
  • Clear the drains and remove any stagnant water.
  • Cut the grass and trim any overgrown plants or trees.
  • Remove rust from your gate and grille, and repaint them.

Celebrate Raya With A New Home
